FICMFS Applications Now Open! - Be inducted as a Fellow of ICMFS at the Baku 2025 Conference – the College’s highest honor.
Dear Esteemed Members of ICMFS,
Warm greetings from the Secretariat.
We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Fellowship of the International College for Maxillo-Facial Surgery (FICMFS), which will be formally conferred during the inaugural convocation at the upcoming ICMFS Conference in Baku in September 2025. The FICMFS represents the highest distinction awarded by the College and is intended to recognize long-standing dedication to the specialty, significant academic contributions, and sustained engagement with the ICMFS community over time.
This inaugural cycle is specially designed for our founding and senior members. Admission will be by application and not by examination. Those who qualify will be formally inducted during the Baku 2025 convocation, which promises to be a landmark event in the history of the College.
Applicants must be long-standing members of ICMFS with at least five years of post-qualification practice in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Attendance at a minimum of two prior ICMFS conferences is required, and candidates must demonstrate academic merit through at least three publications in indexed journals. Active involvement in the field and two letters of recommendation from current ICMFS members are also required. These criteria aim to ensure that the fellowship reflects the high standards and commitment the College stands for.
The induction ceremony will take place during the ICMFS 2025 Conference in Baku. Successful candidates will be honored on stage and presented with the official FICMFS certificate. Fellows may subsequently use the post-nominal title “FICMFS” and will enjoy associated privileges, including voting rights within ICMFS, eligibility for research grants, and priority access to future conference speaking opportunities.
To apply, members are requested to complete the official application form and submit it along with the necessary supporting documents, including recommendation letters and proof of conference attendance. A one-time induction fee of USD 250 will apply to cover convocation-related expenses. Following induction, a retaining fee of USD 30 will be due every two years to maintain fellowship status.
We warmly encourage all eligible members to take advantage of this unique opportunity and submit their applications in a timely manner. Your participation in this convocation will not only honor your individual accomplishments but will also help build a stronger, more connected global community of maxillofacial surgeons under the ICMFS banner.
Should you have any questions or require further assistance with the application process, please feel free to reach out to the Secretariat. We look forward to welcoming our first class of Fellows at the Baku Conference.
With best regards
Secretary General
